Consulttion
Initial Consultation

Before we set an initial appointment, we should talk about the issue(s) bringing you into therapy and whether we would be a good fit. Will my approach, personality, communication style, and areas of specialization match your needs? Reach out to schedule a free 15-minute consultation so we can discuss treatment options and recommendations.

Individual
Individual Therapy

We can discuss your areas of struggle and collaborate on creating current and future goals. Individual therapy should be a safe place to resolve questions about your identity, disability, aging, issues in relationships, or your daily struggles. I will assist you in identifying old patterns, exploring stuck points, and together we will map how to get from where you are to where you'd like to be.

Relationships
Relationship Counseling

Maybe you are exploring a new relationship, dating, or questioning the compatibility or commitment in your current relationship. Individually or with your partner, we can explore the questions you have about the relationship, address day-to-day struggles or conflicts you are experiencing, and improve communication around your needs, wants, and expectations.

Couples Therapy
Couples Therapy

Working with established or committed couples it can be helpful to explore how their early attachment styles and wounds are impacting their current relationship. After identifying negative patterns and triggers we can open communication, work around them, and establish stronger connection and intimacy. I can help you acknowledge and care for your individual and relationship needs by integrating new ways of engaging with one another in healthy, supportive ways.

Disability
Disability Affirming Therapy

I specialize in working with individuals with an acquired disability (change in ability that occurred during the course of life). This may look like processing grief, loss or anger. In sessions, we look at the impact your disability has on your mental, emotional and physical experiences. Therapy may entail exploring how you want to present in the world or how you'd like to engage with others regarding your disability. In other cases, your disability may be just a part of the larger picture of who you are and what you want to work on, an important piece of your life but not necessarily the focus of treatment. Having a knowledgable therapist can be helpful in having an empathetic, informed, and practical interventions. Regardless of what you'd like to focus on, I emphasize person first language in when talking with a person with a disability or someone who is differently abled rather than labelling them a "disabled person".
